Peri-operative feeding after oesophagectomy is known to exist in a wide variety across centers, based on a wide variety of local experiences and standing orders. With this survey on PeriOperative Nutrition after OeSophagectomy (PONOS), we want to create a snapshot of how perioperative nutrition preceding or following oesophagectomy is established accross the globe, and what the reasons are for preferring one method over another.

This survey has 4 main parts: 
  • the first part probes your general practice; 
  • in the second section we probe about your practice in preoperative nutrition
  • the third section probes about your practice in postoperative nutrition;  
  • and finally in the last section, we check how the current available guidelines from ESPEN (2017) are reflected in your daily practice.
 
Completion of this survey takes between 14 and 25 minutes, with a mean of 23 mins. You can always interrupt the survey; by clicking the link in the invitation email, you automatically return to where you left off on the same computer or device.
